Understand your options
You may need more than one type of protection. Explore what each policy is designed to do, then speak to Alliance about how the options could work together.
Life insurance can provide a lump sum if you die during the policy term. Serious illness cover can pay for a specified diagnosis that meets the policy definition. Both may help with a mortgage or family commitments.
These can sit alongside income protection. They do not replace income protection’s regular payments, and they will not cover every illness or event.
Income protection can replace part of your earnings if illness or injury stops you working. Payments normally begin after an agreed waiting period, with limits on how much is paid and for how long.
It can work alongside life and serious illness cover. It does not normally cover redundancy or replace all your earnings.
Private medical insurance can help pay for eligible private treatment. Alliance advises on individual, family, employee and sportspeople’s cover.
It covers treatment costs rather than replacing lost income. Pre-existing and chronic conditions may be excluded or restricted.
Alliance advises on relevant life, shareholder protection, key person insurance and business loan protection. These address different risks for employers and business owners.
The right arrangements depend on ownership, borrowing and the people the business relies on. Legal or tax advice may also be needed.
